Overview
Many Lebanese homes switch between grid power, a generator, solar panels and batteries in a single day. SEMS shows in one place which source is running, what each device uses and what it all costs.
Challenge
Energy apps assume one steady power supply, which is not how Lebanese homes work. We also needed to prove the idea before buying any meter hardware.
Approach
We built the mobile app and its server, plus a realistic simulator of a Lebanese home's daily power cycle. It lets us demo power cuts, generator use and sunny days without any hardware installed.
Outcome
The first working version is complete: sign in, a live dashboard, devices by room, cost by power source and four demo scenarios. Connecting real meters is the next step.
Key features
One live dashboard
Shows the active power source, current usage, today's cost and the biggest consumers.
Cost by power source
Prices every unit on real grid tariffs, generator fees, solar and battery.
A realistic home simulator
Models power cuts, generator start up, solar output and air conditioning use.
Ready made demos
Four scenarios show outages and source changes without any hardware.
Devices by room
Add devices to rooms and see what each one costs to run.
History and trends
Hourly and daily breakdowns of cost and power source.
